REFRAME Conversation 3: Sustainable Infrastructure is the Key to Success

African Centre for Cities and partners present the REFRAME platform to promote informed debate and proposition on how best we can programmatically advance sustainable and inclusive African cities. This seminar series is co-hosted by PEAK Urban.

The objectives of this seminar are:

• To underscore that unless routine infrastructure investments are redefined and channeled into infrastructure packages that are environmentally sound, labour intensive and able to blend formal and informal systems, they won’t work in the African context.
• To demonstrate that significant progress that is already being made in advancing these alternative infrastructure approaches, and how the real-world potential has hardly been tapped.
• To challenge infrastructure investors to rethink their viability and risk criteria so that new kinds of projects can become feasible.
