The University of Oxford is a world-leading centre of learning, teaching and research and the oldest university in the English-speaking world.
The Oxford team includes researchers from various departments in the University of Oxford – Anthropology (COMPAS), the Mathematical Institute, Geography (Transport Studies Unit) and Medicine (Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health).
The PEAK Urban programme is led by the Centre on Migration Policy and Society (COMPAS) based at the School of Anthropology.
The COMPAS team, led by Michael Keith, is conducting research on migration-related issues in Delhi, Shanghai and Medellin.
The Data Analytics team, led by Neave O'Clery, is focussing on economic development and the emergence of complexity for urban systems.
The team at the Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health, led by Kazem Rahimi, is focusing on environmental and behavioural factors that impact health and wellbeing.
The Transport Studies Unit team, led by Tim Schwanen, is focussing on transport-related challenges, including local solutions and sociotechnical transitions.
The Oxford Martin Programme on Informal Cities is a sister project led by the PEAK Urban Oxford leads.
The PEAK Urban programme supports research visits between the five international partners.
