Dezheng Wang is a graduate student at Peking University.
As an undergraduate student in the School of Government at Sun Yat-sen University and as a Master candidate in the College of Urban and Environmental Science at Peking University, Dezhang has focussed on the interdisciplinary study of public management & policy concerning urbanisation issues in China
Former research includes a program investigating the governing system in some urban-villages in Shenzhen, resulting in an article focusing on the social cohesion problems for residents in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
His current research interests focus on migration issues in contemporary China, focussing on an analysis of the behavior of migrants (permanent settlement, return migration, etc.) from an individual-level perspective and raising corresponding policy recommendations.
