We put forward a new theoretical framework to study the development of mega-city regions and metropolitan areas under the recent national strategy of new-type urbanisation and rural vitalisation.
Yingzhi Qiu

Yingzhi Qiu is a PhD student in Urban and Economic Geography at the College of Urban and Environmental Sciences at Peking University. She is working on mega-city region and metropolitan area development for PEAK Urban.
She received her Master's degree in Human Geography at School of Geography and Planning at Sun Yat-sen University.
Her research interests include urbanization, rural transformation and public health. She previously researched the relationship between urban environment and mental health, and has been involved in government consulting work on regional integration development.
